James sources from throwaway furniture in streets, skips, charity furniture shops, also makes a lot of things.

For the last few years he has been working as a freelance styling assistant on interiors and fashion shoots for various clients including: Conran, Laura Ashley, Marks & Spencer’s, Fired Earth, You Magazine etc.

James worked with Katherine Hamnett in Glasgow and studied pattern cutting and dress making. In Edinburgh he developed his love of interiors, studying interior design and spatial design at Telford college, along with welding and carpentry courses, then set design and interior design at Central Saint Martins, London.
